The incident comes days after the Shahabad Dairy murder where a 22-year-old man named Sahil stabbed a minor, Sakshi, to death. The 20-year-old technician was apprehended from Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr and further investigation is underway in the matter. As per the police, the teen was going to attend a function during which the incident took place. The accused Sahil had a grudge against her and committed the gruesome crime.

Sahil's landlord stated that he had been living in the area with his family for nearly two years and had no prior reports of brawls or scuffles. "Sahil had been staying here for the last two years along with his three sisters and parents. His father's name is Sarfaraz. He never had any fights with anyone in the neighbourhood," his landlord told ANI.
