The Aam Aadmi Party has reacted to Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena's order to recover Rs 97 crore from the party for publishing political advertisements as government ads.

AAP said that the Bharatiya Janta Party is using all these tactics to trouble the people of Delhi and questioned why are they being targeted when every state government issues advertisements in other states, reported PTI.

Earlier the Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena directed Chief Secretary to recover Rs 97 crore from the Aam Aadmi Party for the political advertisements it published as government ads.

The order comes in the wake of Supreme Court orders of 2015, Delhi HC order of 2016, and CCRGA’s order of 2016, being violated by the AAP government.

The fight between the Delhi LG and the incumbent AAP government is not new and has been since the time of former LG Anil Baijal. The two keep on accusing each other of hindering the functioning of the legislature.

Earlier in Septemeber, Delhi deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said he was "fallaciously defamed" after his name not included in the first chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case. Sisodia said BJP cooked up the story of liquor scam and raided his residence, ANI reported.
