Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari strongly criticised Delhi Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi's statement stating that 'Kejriwal will run Delhi government from jail', asserting that such activities are characteristic of a "gang, not a government".

Tiwari said that Kejriwal has plundered Delhi, yet the public's happiness over his arrest demonstrates their dissatisfaction with his governance.

"He has dedicated himself to bringing Delhi to the brink of ruin. Delhi residents are deeply disappointed with him, as evidenced by the distribution of sweets following his arrest. His administration has achieved nothing positive for Delhi; instead, they have engaged in corruption and self-enrichment. Kejriwal has pillaged Delhi," Tiwari was quoted as saying by ANI.

"Those who repeatedly claim they will operate the government from jail should remember that we have witnessed gangs operating from jail, not legitimate governments," he added.

Our Anti-Corruption Crusade Yielded Results: BJP On Kejriwal's Arrest

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva echoed Tiwari's sentiments, stating to ANI, "Our anti-corruption crusade has yielded results, one of which is Arvind Kejriwal's detention by the ED... Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal accepted a bribe of Rs 100 crore; let's address that issue. Those guilty of corruption must be held accountable. A gang may function from jail, but not a government."

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, former Union Minister Harsh Vardhan, and other leaders "pledged to combat corruption" at Raj Ghat in Delhi, ANI reported.

BJP Demands Arvind Kejriwal's Resignation:

Former Union Minister and BJP leader Harsh Vardhan stated, "BJP activists have gathered at Raj Ghat, where each member has pledged to demand the resignation of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, the mastermind behind the Capital's largest liquor scam... Kejriwal, who once criticised every leader as corrupt, has now aligned with them. We demand his resignation."

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar also remarked to ANI, "The alliance between the Left and Congress is unsurprising; they are I.N.D.I.A bloc partners cooperating in elections nationwide... This collaboration only underscores the fact that they are two sides of the same coin... Their actions in Kerala are mere theatrics... The outrage over Arvind Kejriwal's arrest is a charade; the public is well aware that Kejriwal ignored multiple notices from the ED... Arrest was the consequence of his non-compliance... Why did he ignore the summons earlier?... Every year, during every election, Congress and the Left lose ground and public support because people demand complete honesty."

Regarding Delhi CM and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi commented, "The ED has presented the facts, and now it's up to the court to decide."
