The Aam Aadmi Party will hold a ‘maha rally’ on June 11 against the Centre’s “black ordinance” that gave back the power of transfer posting of officers to the Delhi Lieutenant Governor, negating a Supreme Court order in favour of the Kejriwal dispensation. At a press conference, AAP’s Delhi convenor Gopal Rai appealed to the people to join the rally at Ramlila Maidan, as per a report by PTI.
"This black ordinance has made it clear that the BJP-led Centre will impose dictatorial decisions like this on the country. Therefore, the AAP has decided to launch a campaign against it along with the people of Delhi.
"On June 11, the people of Delhi will gather for a 'maha rally' at Ramlila Maidan against this ordinance," he said.

The ordinance shows that the Centre will impose “dictatorial decisions” like this on the country, Rai said during the press conference, as per the report.
On May 19, the Centre promulgated the ordinance to create a National Capital Civil Service Authority for transfer of IAS and DANICS cadre officers and disciplinary proceedings against them.
The ordinance came a week after the apex court ruled in the favour of AAP-led Delhi government by handing over the control of services, excluding those related to police, public order and land to it.

On Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar in the national capital and called for opposition unity to take on the BJP. Kejriwal said he will meet Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee tomorrow, May 23 and is also slated to have a meeting with Uddhav Thacekray on May 24 and Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on May 25.
The AAP national convenor said he will meet with the leaders of all the Opposition parties and formally request their support to not let the ordinance pass in the Rajya Sabha.
