New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that there cannot be a more heinous crime than the way the Shraddha murder case has turned out to be. He further asked for the strictest punishment for the accused Aftab in case.
Talking to Aaj Tak he said, "There cannot be a more heinous crime than this. The culprit Aftab should be given such a severe punishment that no one can think of doing this to any other girl."
As for the case, accused Aftab Amin Poonawla's Polygraph test could not be held on Friday, news agency ANI reported citing Special CP (Law & Order), Delhi Police.
Aftab's Polygraph test was left incomplete on Thursday as he had a fever and it was decided to continue the test on Friday.
On Friday, a WhatsApp chat of Shraddha Walkar came forth of the time when she was admitted to the hospital due to Aftab’s beating. In the chat, Shraddha shares her photo with her friend informing the latter that she was admitted to a hospital. She further said that she would send relevant documents to her friend, probably as proof to seek help.
It is revealed from the chat that perhaps there was no one to take care of Shraddha as her friend writes, "Hope someone is there to take care of you...be safe and let me know if you need help."
The police have found the hotel in Tosh, Himachal Pradesh where Shraddha and Aftab stayed together in April. Police teams of Delhi and Himachal Pradesh have asked hotels in the area to the guest list of people who stayed there in April.
One of the hotel owners informed that the couple arrived at his hotel on April 6. They made online payments and Aftab also gave his Aadhar card. He said that Delhi police came to his hotel and inquired about the case.
