New Delhi: Aftab Amin Poonawala, who allegedly killed and dismembered his live-in partner Shraddha Walker's body parts in May this year, has been misleading the police like a professional killer.

According to police sources, he confessed during the police interrogation that he had disposed of the saw and blade he used in chopping up the body near his office in the bushes of Gurugram's DLF Phase 3. The police, however, couldn't find the murder weapon even after searching the area for two days.

Earlier, Aftab told the police that he threw the weapons in a jungle.

Sources have told ABP News that he has been misleading the investigation by giving different responses when asked about the location where he threw the weapon used to kill Shraddha and the place where he disposed of her head.

The police sources said that the search operation will be carried out once more on Wednesday and this time Aftab might be allowed to accompany them.

The police will today present Aftab in court to seek an extension of the custody of the accused. Aftab has already been in police custody for 10 days. In such a situation, sources say that if Aftab's remand is extended today, how will the evidence found during the narco test be verified by taking Aftab to the location because the police can take Aftab on remand only for a total of 14 days.

The narco-analysis test will be conducted at Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini, Delhi.

Aftab had killed his live-in partner Shraddha on May 18 by strangling her. He then cut her corpse into 35 pieces with a saw and preserved them in a fridge for almost three weeks at their flat before disposing of them over several days.
