Mumbai Police on Sunday received a threat call from a person threatening of "serial bomb blasts" in local trains. Soon after the call, the police apprehended a 25-year-old man from the Juhu area for allegedly making the threat call. A police official while talking to the news agency PTI said that the man is suspected to have made the call while he was in an inebriated state. The Police control room received a call this morning during which the caller claimed that a bomb was planted inside a local train in Mumbai. The caller further warned that 'serial bomb blasts' were going to take place.
The caller added that he was calling from the Vile Parle area, said a police official.
Police acted immediately as soon as the call ended and traced the location of the caller's phone location. Then with the help of other technical evidence, they apprehended the man from Juhu, the suspected location from where he was believed to have made the call.
An investigation into the matter was launched during which it was found that the man came to Mumbai from Bihar. According to PTI, he had been living in Mumbai for the past 10 days. The mobile phone that he used to make the call was also seized by the police.

On the basis of the preliminary information, it appeared that the man was a habitual drinker. The official added that the force is trying to collect more information about the man, reported PTI.
Recently, the Mumbai Police Control Room got a call wherein the caller threatened to carry out a terror attack similar to the 26/11 attacks if Pakistani national Seema Haider did not return to her country.
