A man and his two minor daughters were allegedly stabbed to death on Tuesday night by a man believed to be the lover of one of the girls. The mother of the girls is in the hospital after sustaining injuries in the attack. The incident occurred at Dhana Dih village in the Saran district of Bihar, ANI reported. 






According to the report, two accused have been taken into custody for the crime: Sudhanshu Kumar alias Roshan and Ankit Kumar, both from Rasulpur. Police say they murdered Tarakeshwar Singh alias Jhabar Singh and his two minor daughters with a sharp weapon at the victims' residence on Tuesday night. Saran Police arrested them within an hour of the crime, the police said in a statement. 






The statement said that, on Tuesday night, police received information through Dial 112 that three people had been murdered with a sharp object on the roof of Tarakeshwar Singh’s house.


Based on Tarakeshwar Singh's wife’s statements and the intelligence gathered, the two accused were taken into custody. Police have also recovered the murder weapon from the scene of the crime. 


Prima facie, the murder seems to have stemmed from a love affair between Sudhanshu Kumar and one of the minor girls, the police statement said. 


According to The Times Of India, the bodies were sent to Chapra Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
