In Punjab, a man was fatally shot in broad daylight at Mohali Airport Road, the police stated, news agency ANI reported The deceased, identified as Rajesh Dogra, hailed from Jammu and Kashmir. According to police and forensic teams, unidentified attackers discharged a minimum of 19 bullets at him, Indian Express reported.


Speaking about the incident, Mohali SSP Sandeep Garg stated: "An unfortunate incident took place here. A man died on the spot at Mohali Airport Road after being shot. As per the details from the documents retrieved from him, he has been identified as Rajesh Dogra and was a resident of Jammu. This is as per the details on his Aadhaar Card. 4-5 unidentified people had come in vehicles and then did this shooting. Our teams have been activated and we also have some leads...Strict action will be taken..."






The police indicated a possible motive of longstanding animosity behind the murder. The victim's body was transported to the civil hospital in Phase 6, and senior police officers arrived at the scene of the crime, Indian Express reported.

Earlier on Sunday, in a similar incident that took place at Kanwari village in Haryana's Hisar district, Sarpanch Sanjay Duhan was shot dead by unknown attackers. The incident occurred on a Sunday evening as Duhan was en route to attend a function. On Sunday evening, Duhan was attacked by unknown assailants who fired multiple bullets at him. Despite his family's swift attempt to rush him to a hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.
