A shocking incident came to light on Thursday from Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal where employees of a dog training centre mercilessly killed a canine by hanging from an iron-grill gate using leash and ropes. The incident was caught on CCTV camera, footage of which was deleted by the operator and employee of the centre to conceal their crime. 


The matter was reported at Misrod police station by dog owner Nihil Jaiswal, a liquor businessman, as per a Times of India report. The shocking details of the crime were revealed after the police seized the CCTV-DVR and with the help of the cyber cell, recovered the footage which went viral on social media. A case was registered against three individuals, one of them being a woman, including the operator and employees of the training centre under relevant sections concerning cruelty to animals. 


As per the report, the probe revealed that Nikhil had sent his dog to the training centre in May this year. Ravi Kushwaha, the centre’s director, initially quoted a training fee of Rs 13,000 per month and training was set to conclude in September.

However, Nikhil received a call from Ravi on October 9 that the dog was not well and was being given CPR at the centre, however, tragically the dog did not survive. 


But the centre’s behaviour raised suspicion after which a complaint was registered with the police against it. 


The video evidence showed Ravi Kushwaha, along with associates Tarun Das and Neha (also known as Priya Tiwari mercilessly killing the dog by hanging it by its leash on a boundary wall gate on October 9 at around 1:30 pm. 


After around 10 minutes of suffering the dog passed away. 


All the three accused have been arrested and charges have been filed against them.
