Aftab Amin Poonawala has confessed to killing Shraddha Walkar in the narco test, according to sources. He has also admitted to using multiple weapons and told about the location where he disposed of Shraddha's clothes.
Earlier, the teams of the forensic science laboratory and Ambedkar Hospital conducted the narco test of accused Aftab Poonawala on Thursday that went on for over 2 hours, reported ANI.
"Team had psychologist from forensic lab Rohini, photo expert & doctors from Ambedkar Hospital," ANI quoted Rohini FSL lab Assistant Director Sanjeev Gupta as saying.
Gupta informed that narco analysis is conducted when all parameters are met.
"All parameters were met. If needed, a post-narco test is done. Investigation & process of narco is underway, we'll submit the report soon. Case has been taken up on priority," he added.
Aftab’s narco test was conducted after several rounds of the polygraph examination in which he revealed shocking details about Shraddha’s murder.
During the polygraph test, Aftab confessed to killing Shraddha Walkar and dumping her body parts in the jungle. He also admitted to planning to kill her long back. Aftab also accepted having relationship with many girls.
Aftab went on to admit that he brought Shraddha to Delhi from Mumbai with the intention of killing her. When asked if he regrets killing Shraddha, Aftab said 'no.' He also said that he did not inform Shraddha's family about the murder or anything after killing her.
Meanwhile, accused Aftab Amin Poonawala’s recent girlfriend said that she had no idea about the grisly act carried out by Aftab and that she had no inkling about human parts being kept in a refrigerator when she visited Aftab’s house twice after the murder.
She also said that Aftab had gifted her a fancy artificial ring on October 12, which reportedly belonged to Shraddha. The ring was recovered from Aftab’s new partner, a psychiatrist, and her statement was recorded.
According to a statement by the woman given to the police, this friend informed that she had come to Aftab's flat twice in the month of October, but she had no inkling of Shraddha's murder or about the presence of human body parts in the house. Aftab never looked scared, she said.
