Varanasi News: The discovery of the bodies of two brothers from Andhra Pradesh in Varanasi has caused quite a stir. The bodies were found at 'Andhra Ashram' under the jurisdiction of the Bhelupur police station in Varanasi.


The stench emanating from the room, due to the door remaining closed for several hours, alerted the ashram manager, who informed the nearest police station. Upon arrival, the police found the two bodies hanging from two nooses as they broke the door open. No suicide note was found at the scene. The bodies have been taken into custody and sent for autopsy. The local police have registered a case of unnatural death.

According to ABP sources, the two brothers from West Godavari in Andhra Pradesh had been living at the Andhra Ashram in the Mansarovar area under Bhelupur in Varanasi for three weeks. The brothers purportedly took their own lives by hanging themselves. They were identified as P Lakshmi Narayan (34) and Vinod Lok (32).



The ashram manager said that the brothers had arrived as tourists and had been staying at the ashram since August 28. They intended to visit religious sites in Kashi and were completely normal. "Their demeanour did not suggest that they were under any stress. On Tuesday, the room's door did not open and the stench started wafting out by the afternoon.

The manager then informed the Bhelupur police station. When the police opened the door, they found both bodies hanging from the ceiling. The reason for their suicide is yet to be known. While some locals said that they wanted 'salvation' in the holy city, others said they might have been under financial stress.
