There are several reports of clashes between two groups from across the country on Holi. From Jharkhand to Bengal to Noida, reports of tussles have emerged from different regions. Reports of a few individuals killed have also emerged from several parts of the country.
Jharkhand
Several people were injured, and at least three shops were allegedly torched after. Clash between two groups during a Holi procession in Jharkhand’s Giridih, reports news agency PTI, quoting police. The incident took place in Ghodthamba when the passing of a Holi procession through the area was opposed by a group, leading to a clash in which both sides pelted each other with stones, the officer said. A large police contingent was deployed to restore peace in the area. The situation is under control and is being monitored closely, Khorimahua Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rajendra Prasad said.
West Bengal
In Bengal, a TMC leader Akash Choudhary was killed. He was soon taken to hospital but he could not be saved. Police has arrested a individual in this case named Pawan Rajbhar.

Ludhiana
Two groups clashed with each other over the playing of DJ during Holi on Friday, leaving two people injured, reports news agency PTI, quoting police. Seven people have been detained in connection with the incident that took place in Bihari Colony. A heated argument broke out between the two groups over one of them playing DJ music during the Holi celebration. It escalated, and the two sides hurled bricks, stones, and other objects at each other.
Aligarh
A 25-year-old man was shot dead in Aligarh just before he was about to have sehri during Ramzan. The incident occurred in the wee hours of Friday in Telipada, Roravar, police officials said. The victim, identified as Haris, had just returned home after playing a cricket match and was standing outside his house, waiting to have 'sehri,' when the attackers attacked the man.
Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh
Two groups of participants at the Holi Laat Sahab procession clashed in Shahjahanpur over an unknown issue and hurled shoes and stones at police when they intervened. According to The Telegraph, Rajesh S, deputy inspector-general of Shahjahanpur, denied any lathi charge. “There were 4-5 boys who were creating trouble, and the police were driving them away. It is a rumour on social media that the police lathi-charged.”

Greater Noida
Few incidents of clashes were shared by individuals on social media from areas of Greater Noida. A video of a fight between several youngsters is going viral. In a post on X, a user named Kunal Gautam shared a video and asked the Uttar Pradesh administration how such incidents could take place in the society of Greater Noida West.
Another video was posted by a user named Pravendra Singh on X. A group of individuals could be seen beating a boy on Holi. The incident took place in Avenue-7 society in Gaur Society of Greater Noida.
