A 25-year-old man lost his life after he was bitten by a captured snake while playing at his house in Shahjahanpur's Banda area of Uttar Pradesh. The deceased was identified as Mukesh.

According to a report by Amar Ujala, despite seeking medical help, his family opted for traditional healing methods, during which Mukesh succumbed to the venom.

The snake was spotted in the house of Ram Sagar around 11 a.m. on Sunday. Mukesh, his son, caught it and started showing it off to children and teenagers in the village, even posing for photos. While doing so, the snake bit him.

Within minutes, Mukesh's condition worsened. However, instead of taking him to a Community Health Center (CHC), his family took him to a local healer, who applied an herbal paste on the bite and sent them back.

As his condition deteriorated further, the family finally rushed him to the CHC, where doctors examined him and declared him dead. By 6 p.m., his last rites had not yet been performed as the family believed that he would return from his consciousness.
