Uttar Pradesh: At least three students were killed and one was critically injured after a bus hit the motorcycle they were riding in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura earlier today. The accident took place in the Magorra Thana area.
According to a report by Hindustan, the students' bike was hit by a private bus coming from Mathura near Jajampatti crossing, which comes under Magorra police station.
The three students died on the spot, while the critically injured youth was taken to Bharatpur hospital for treatment. The reason behind the collision remains unkown.
"One who was critically injured is undergoing treatment and three others were brought dead, they have been identified. The injured has been referred to medical college," Dr. Aman Kumar, District Hospital, Mathura said.
10 Students Injured As School Bus Collides With Loader In Muzaffarnagar
In another road accident in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, ten students were injured when their school bus collided with a loader on the Chajpur-Rajpur road in Muzaffarnagar. Three students are said to be in a critical condition. All of them were girls.
The police have seized the loader and arrested its driver. The injured students were taken to the Primary Health Centre in Budhana for medical treatment, news agency PTI reported. Later, six of the students were referred to the district hospital
The accident is said to have occurred due to the low visibility amid dense fog in the region. Circle Officer Sant Prasad Upadhyay told PTI that the accident took place within the jurisdiction of Phugana police station when the school bus was carrying students from Gayatri School in Kandhala.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
