Amid ongoing speculation about the potential elevation of Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin to the position of Deputy Chief Minister, the Chepauk-Triplicane MLA addressed the rumors by deferring the decision to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. Earlier, there was widespread anticipation that an official announcement regarding Udhayanidhi’s elevation would be made at 11:30 AM on Wednesday.

On rumours around the post of Tamil Nadu Deputy CM, Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said, "You have to ask the CM. It is totally CM's right to decide about it."

"All Ministers will support the CM in whatever decision he takes," he said.

When journalists informed the minister that party workers had assembled at the party headquarters, "Anna Arivalayam," with firecrackers to celebrate, he explained that he was unable to visit the head office on Wednesday as he had been at the Anna Centenary Library, as reported by PTI.
