Three people were killed by a leopard in the Gogunda area of Rajasthan's Udaipur district. The search for a leopard has intensified with the involvement of an Army team. Despite efforts, the animal remains elusive.
As per the report of PTI, the leopard is believed to have killed a 16-year-old girl on Wednesday, a 50-year-old man on Thursday, and a 40-year-old woman on Friday, all in different locations in Gogunda.
In response, forest authorities have placed five cages in the nearby hilly areas where the animal is thought to be hiding. This attack leads to widespread fear among villagers.

A forest department rescue team, along with local villagers, has begun efforts to trace the leopard. Gogunda police station SHO, Shaitan Singh, confirmed that an Army team has been brought in to assist, using drone cameras to survey the area. Search teams from Rajsamand, Udaipur, and Jodhpur are also involved.
Officials, including Divisional Forest Officer Ajay Chittora and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Naresh Soni, are actively monitoring the operation.
Leopard Kills 7-Year-Old In Maharashtra
A similar incident in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district on Friday when a 7-year-old boy fell prey to a leopard attack, resulting in his death, PTI reported.
According to forest department officials, Bhavesh Thakur, a resident of Sinala village, ventured out to answer nature's call when the leopard struck. The incident occurred in the Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) area.
Local residents alerted the police and forest department personnel about the presence of the leopard in the area, prompting a search operation that lasted through the night. Thakur's body was recovered on Saturday morning.
"The search teams combed the area throughout the night but unfortunately, we couldn't locate the boy alive," said a forest department official, as per PTI.
As an immediate measure, the family of the deceased has been provided with an initial compensation of Rs 1 lakh.
