Two teenage girls in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat got into a violent altercation after reportedly discovering that they both liked the same boy in their school. They punched, kicked, and even pulled each other by the hair on a busy road. The incident took place in Aminagar Sarai Town under the Singhwali Police Station area on Tuesday. Videos of the incident have now gone viral. A detailed probe is underway.
In the videos, the teens dressed in school uniform, were seen punching, kicking, and dragging each other by their hair while other students and passersby tried to pull them apart to resolve the fight.
According to a report by NDTV, the girls are both Class 10 students of a local school in the area. They reportedly liked a boy, who studied in the same school. Both of them talked frequently to the boy and got into a fight outside their school when they got to know that both of them liked him.
"The video is being probed and the matter will be investigated accordingly," said an official.
In another similar incident, two girls got into a fight in Dehradun, Uttarakhand after a dispute over boyfriend issues. The video of the incident went viral on social media and showed the two girls pulling each other's hair and hitting each other on a busy road.
The bystanders tried to intervene but none of them stopped and the brawl continued to intensify. The police initiated an investigation into the case and social media users questioned the nature of the charges that would be filed against the girls.
The video drew mixed reactions from the social media users onlne as some considered it shameful while some saw it as entertainment.
