A shocking video came from Karnataka where a speeding truck rammed into a reversing vehicle and dragged it along before the car toppled. 


The incident, which was captured on a CCTV camera, took place on a national highway in Karnataka's Kundapur. In the video, the car was seen on the left corner of the road with reverse parking lights engaged. Suddenly, a speeding truck rammed the car, injuring 10 people, according to an NDTV report. 


There were seven people in the Toyota car, including the driver, who was heading back to Kerala after visiting the Kollur Devi Temple in Udupi. The driver was reversing the car in front of the Kumbhashi Chandika Durgaparmeshwari Temple in Kundapur. 






As per the police, the car was coming from Kundapura to Udupi. Upon reaching Chandika Durga Parameshwari Temple, the driver tried to reverse the vehicle to enter the temple premises. 


At the same time, a truck with a Mangaluru registration, transporting fish from Goa to Kerala, collided with the reversing vehicle.


The speeding lorry rammed the car from behind and dragged it for several metres before stopping in front of a board, pushing the car into the bushes, before toppling.

Among the 10 injured, two have suffered serious injuries and their condition is reportedly critical, as per the report. The injured passengers along with the truck driver were admitted to a hospital in Manipal for treatment, said the police, according to a PTI report. 


The identities of the people inside the car, who belonged to Kerala, are unknown. A case has been registered in connection with the incident by the police.
