Bihar IAS, IPS's Soulful Rendition Of 'Sandese Aate Hai' In Sitamarhi Goes Viral

During the cultural program, DM Richie Pandey couldn’t resist joining in. He stepped onto the stage, grabbed the microphone, and started singing. 

A video showing a young IAS officer and District Magistrate (DM) of the Sitamarhi district of Bihar performing a song from the stage has left the spellbound to netizens for a few moments. During a programme held on Wednesday (December 11) to mark Sitamarhi’s Foundation Day, the DM, Richie Pandey, delighted the crowd with the song, "Sandese Aate Hain…” 

The cultural programme, organised to celebrate the district’s Foundation Day, featured various artists entertaining the audience through their performances. Amid this, DM Richie Pandey couldn’t resist joining in. He stepped onto the stage, grabbed the microphone, and started singing. 

The video that surfaced on social media shows the DM singing the song from the film 'Border'. Along with him, the SP of the district, Manoj Kumar also joined the stage, creating a memorable duet between the two officers. The DM’s performance brought immense joy to the crowd.

DM Richie Pandey Previous Performances

This isn’t the first time Richie Pandey’s singing has captured attention. He has performed songs on multiple occasions, with his videos frequently going viral on social media. During his tenure as DDC in Patna, he once sang “Har Ghadi Badal Rahi Hai Roop Zindagi…” during a Holi celebration in the office, and the video gained significant attention online.

Pandey has also been seen singing alongside IAS officer Tina Dabi in a viral video from his time at the IAS Training Centre in Mussoorie. During a farewell event there, he performed a song that resonated with many.

A 2016 batch IAS officer, Richie Pandey is known not only for his musical talent but also for his reputation as a strict and honest administrator. In 2022, he also served as the DM of Jehanabad.
