A scuffle broke out at Iskcon temple in Bihar's capital, Patna on Sunday leaving several injured. The fight broke out during a meeting of the temple management committee and the police reached the spot after receiving information about it.
Reportedly, the two factions that were involved in the fight had been in an earlier dispute after which the matter escalated on Sunday.
The supporters of the chairman of the temple management committee and the vice chairman had been in a dispute that had been going on for the last few months.

The fight between the two factions caused a stampede inside the temple premises and on the road outside the temple. One group chased the other group on the road and beat them. It has been suggested that one group has levelled serious allegations against the other including financial irregularities. However, not much is known about the actual cause of the fight.
After police reached the spot, the injured people were sent to hospital for treatment.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Krishna Murari Prasad said there had been some difference of opinion between the seers of the temple and the administrators over some administrative and other issues which resulted in the fight.

Some people were injured in the fight and they came to the police station where their statements were recorded. "These people are making many kinds of allegations. We are investigating," the DSP said.
"We will take serious action based on whatever evidence comes. We have sent those who are injured for treatment so that they can get medical treatment. Otherwise, the situation is normal," he added.
