With an aim to position Madhya Pradesh as India's premier investment destination and boost employment, the state government is set to host the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit on February 24-25 in Bhopal. 

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended an event in New Delhi on Wednesday in view of the preparations from the mega summit.

CM Mohan Yadav said that the summit would accelerate growth in the state's industrial sector and create new job opportunities for the youth. He also said that large investments would pave the way for auxiliary industrial units, leading to employment generation in the state.

Rs 78,000 Crore Investment Proposal From Abroad 

The Madhya Pradesh government is aiming that the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 will propel the state's industrial GDP from Rs 2.9 lakh crore (FY 2023-24) to Rs 6 lakh crore by 2030.

Highlighting the potential impact of the summit, CM Yadav said, “With the entry of foreign companies, Madhya Pradesh will gain access to world-class, cutting-edge technology, benefiting local industries.” 

The MP CM said that during his recent visit to the UK and Germany, industrialists from the two countries have proposed an investment worth Rs 78,000 crore in the state.

281 New Industrial Proposals Received

According to the Madhya Pradesh government, the state has received 281 new industrial proposals from domestic and international investors, amounting to a total investment worth Rs 4.17 lakh crore. 

So far, 1,072 industrial land allocation letters have been issued, facilitating the allotment of 3,349 acres of land.

Investment Promotion Initiatives

The Mohan Yadav government, in order to attract global investors, has conducted three international industry interaction sessions in the UK. Meanwhile, five industry sessions have been organized in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Kolkata, and Pune. Several other regional industry conclaves have been organised in Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Sagar, Rewa, Narmadapuram, and Shahdol.

The investors' summit will also witness the launch of a new business policy in the state. The government will also present its vision for a developed Madhya Pradesh by 2047.
