In the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case, fresh details have started emerging following Sonam Raghuvanshi's arrest, who has been booked for the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi.
Meghalaya Police is taking Sonam to Shillong as the cops have obtained a five-day transit remand to facilitate her transfer and interrogation.
Meanwhile, Raja Raghuvanshi's brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi, made explosive claims about the days leading up to the killing.
Vipin has claimed that Sonam Raghuvanshi had warned her mother before the marriage that "nothing good" would come of the marriage. He further claimed Sonam’s mother was aware of her daughter's affair but deliberately kept the information secret from Raja and his family.

Sonam was arrested in connection with the killing of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, whose body was discovered in a gorge near the Weisawdong Parking Lot in Meghalaya on June 2.
The couple, who had gone missing on May 23, were initially the focus of a missing persons case that eventually escalated into a murder investigation following the recovery of Raja's body.
Vipin has demanded that the investigators also interrogate Sonam’s mother, accused her of concealing the details.
"Had Sonam’s father known, he would’ve dismissed Raj Kushwaha from his job," Vipin said, implying that her mother played an active role in covering up the affair and the alleged murder plot.
Silence And Suspicion After The Wedding
Vipin said that three days after their May 10 wedding in Indore, Raja began noticing troubling signs.
During a family function, Raja expressed concern that Sonam had become distant and was constantly engrossed in her phone. "She wasn’t even speaking to him," Vipin said, adding that Raja felt unsettled by her behaviour. The family, at the time, dismissed it as early marital adjustment issues.

According to Vipin, Sonam had already accepted in her mind that murdering Raja would absolve her of the marriage. "She believed that by killing him, she could avoid the stigma of being a widow," he said.
Meanwhile, sources told India Today TV that Sonam had allegedly plotted the murder with her lover, Raj Kushwaha, just days after the wedding.
In chats retrieved by the sleuths, Sonam told the main accused Raj that she did not like her husband getting intimate with her. She further said that she had already distanced herself from him before the wedding.
She is also said to have told him that she planned to kill Raja three days after the marriage.
A Chilling Plot Unfolds
The couple had travelled to Meghalaya for their honeymoon on May 21. Days later, Raja’s body was discovered in a deep gorge in a forested area near Cherrapunji. Initially declared missing, the couple’s case turned into a suspected murder after the body was found bearing multiple sharp injuries, including major wounds on the head.
Sonam, who surrendered to police in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur on Monday, reportedly confessed to hiring contract killers to eliminate her husband. Along with her, four men — Raj Kushwaha, Aakash Rajpoot, Vikas alias Vicky, and Anand — have been arrested for allegedly carrying out the murder.
Authorities say Sonam deliberately chose the remote location to carry out the crime, hoping to make the death appear accidental.
Meanwhile, the Meghalaya Police have said that more information will be revealed in the coming days in the mysterious murder case.
The Meghalaya Police said she was traced under mounting pressure from the investigation and surrendered voluntarily. Three of her alleged accomplices have also been arrested -- two from Indore and one from Lalitpur -- while one accused still remains absconding.
