A massive fire broke out in a factory near Jambusar, Bharuch, Gujarat in the early hours of Wednesday. The blaze caused extensive damage and also quickly intensified. It engulfed multiple structures and also spread to a neighbouring factory.

The local fire department was quick to respond and deployed several fire engines to contain the flames, but the operation was challenging due to the fire's intensity.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and authorities are investigating the incident.

There were no reports of casualties, however, it has raised concerns about industrial safety in the area. Authorities had sealed off the site to ensure public safety and support firefighting efforts, as teams continued to work and bring the blaze under control.

In another incident, a major fire broke out at a biscuit and wafer packets manufacturing factory in Gujarat's Surat district and spread rapidly, causing massive damage to the unit. A blast in an inflammable liquid stored in drums at the factory caused the fire to spread rapidly, further complicating the situation. Fire-fighting teams were still trying to bring the blaze completely under control even after hectic efforts for nearly 12 hours.

A large part of the factory was gutted in the massive fire.

This comes just a day after, a fire that broke out at a scrap godown in a market in Ankleshwar, Bharuch on Monday. It was soon brought under control, and no casualties were reported, Bharuch Fire officials confirmed.

While speaking to ANI, Fire officer Chirag Gadhvi said, "The situation is under control as of now, and there are no injuries or casualties yet."
