In a bizarre incident, a man climbed on an electric tower in Noida on Sunday afternoon. The incident took place around 1:30 pm on Sunday afternoon prompting police, fire service and power department officials to engage in rescue efforts. 


In a video, which has gone viral on social media, the man could be seen standing on the electric pole and dancing on top of the pole. The man is yet to be identified.

Meanwhile, a huge crowd of onlookers gathered near the electric pole located near the metro station under Sector 113 Police station and tried to persuade him to come down.






The man got down the pole after two hours after the intervention of the police and the fire department officials. The police said that the man was mentally disturbed. 


In a similar incident last month, a 40-year-old man climbed up a high-voltage electricity pole in the Khadar area of Shahdara’s Geeta Colony in New Delhi.


The man was reportedly frustrated over the alleged lack of action on environmental issues. The man was insisted he would come down only if he was allowed to meet the Prime Minister, Chief Minister, Defence Minister, and a judge. 


“The man, Madhusudan Biswas, is a resident of North 24 Parganas in West Bengal. He claimed to be an environmental activist and a teacher, and said he has sent multiple emails to government officials demanding action on environmental issues but received no response,” the police said. 


In August, a man in Telangana's Mahabubabad district climbed an electrical pole to restore the power connection after he became frustrated with prolonged power outage and the inaction of local authorities.






Bharatiya Rashtra Samiti (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao had reacted over the incident and appreciated the man for his “daredevil”.
