Indore News: A woman sub-inspector at the Police Training School in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, purportedly committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of a government building. According to her family, she had been depressed for the past few months.


Azad Nagar police station in-charge Neeraj Medha said that sub-inspector Neha Sharma of the 2015 batch went out for a morning walk on Friday morning and did not return. Her body was found near a government building behind the police training school. According to the police, she committed suicide.

It is not known why the sub-inspector Neha Sharma committed suicide. Her husband Om Sharan says that she had been suffering from depression for the last few months. The woman officer was also very troubled by the workload.


However, the police department officials have not confirmed this. Azad Nagar police station in-charge said that an investigation is underway and all angles are being probed. The body has been sent to the hospital for autopsy. Neha Sharma left behind two children.

Neha Sharma's family said that she was very calm and simple in nature. She has an 8-month-old daughter and a 4-year-old son. Top officials of the police department reached the hospital to inquire about the case.


In a similar incident in July, a woman cop purportedly committed suicide at the Regional Police Training School hostel in Nagpur. She left behind a suicide note. Based on a complaint by her mother, her boyfriend was booked.


According to a TOI report, the cop had separated from her husband due to regular quarrels. She later got into an affair with another man, but he married someone else. This caused her immense stress, leading to the woman hanging herself.
