Lawrence Bishnoi Gang News: In a big success for law enforcement agencies, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was arrested in Haryana's Panipat on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Sukha Kaluya, was arrested in a joint operation by Navi Mumbai police and Haryana Police. 


The arrested accused had notably been tasked to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan by the Bishnoi gang. As per sources, Kaluya had conducted a recce of the actor's house Panvel before shots were fired at his Bandra apartment in April. 






On April 14, two shooters fired five rounds outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Bandra. Mumbai Police in a charge sheet said the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi had links with shooters. At the time, Sukha, who had been given a contract to kill Salman Khan by the Bishnoi gang, managed to flee, sources said,


"He has been absconding since then. He was arrested on Wednesday in a joint operation of Haryana and Maharashtra police in Panipat," they added. 


The Lawrence Bishnoi gang had previously threatened Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan, after the 1998 poaching case in which the actor was accused of killing a blackbuck during the filming of a movie in Rajasthan. The blackbuck is worshipped in the Bishnoi community.


Meanwhile, following the murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was a close friend of Salman Khan, security at the actor's residence, Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai's Bandra area, has been increased. Siddique shared a close association with Salman Khan, who has repeatedly faced threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and associates. 


Siddique was killed on Saturday night outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra East. On Sunday, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for Siddique's murder. Mumbai police have apprehended three assailants involved in Siddique's murder.
