Seven children and four women were killed in a road accident while returning home after offering prayers at the Khatu Shyam Temple in Rajasthan. The devotees' pickup van collided with a truck, resulting in the accident. The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital where one person remained critical.
Dausa Deputy SP Ravi Prakash Sharma said the total death count of the accident near Bapi now lies at 11 after one person admitted to the hospital succumbed to their injuries.
The passengers of the pickup vehicle were returning to their village in Uttar Pradesh's Etah after visiting Khatu Shyam and Salasar Balaji temple. The accident occurred on Manoharpur highway around 4-5 am, Dausa Superintendent of Police Sagar said.
Twenty people were on board the pickup vehicle when it rammed into a stationary truck in the service lane of the highway.
