Kerala News: A 23-year-old man in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram walked into a police station and alleged that he killed six people, including his mother, brother and girlfriend. The man also claimed to have consumed rat poison to end his life and is under medical observation.

The man committed the crime between 10 am and 6 pm on Monday. It was later found that his mother did not die but was seriously injured. She was admitted to the hospital where she was critical. He allegedly killed his girlfriend, 13-year-old brother, paternal grandmother, father's elder brother and his wife.

The man reportedly told police that his NRI father's business was in a deep financial crisis so he decided to kill the family members and end his life.

All Relatives Found Dead In Different Houses

As the man confessed to committing the crime, the police rushed to his house where they confirmed the incident. His mother was found to be battling for life at their house and she was shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. She was also said to be a cancer patient.

The accused man's 80-year-old grandmother was found dead in her house at Pangode, while his father's elder brother Latheef and his wife Shahida were found dead at their house at Chullad.

Some media reports claimed that there was an altercation in the family over settling the debts of his father and the relatives refused to help.
