Karnataka News: A 19-year-old identified as Abdul Rajid was severely injured in a tyre burst accident in Udupi, Karnataka. The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred on 21 December near Koteshwar area on National Highway 66. The footage, now widely circulated on social media, shows Abdul pumping air into a large tyre, which suddenly exploded, throwing him several feet away with the impact.  


The visuals show a school bus reading "Bearys Seaside Public School" parked in front of the shop and getting one of its tyres repaired.


Abdul was repairing a puncture in the tyre of a private school bus when the explosion occurred. The force of the blast caused a compound fracture in his arm, India Today reported. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.






Tyre Burst Accident Kills 3 In Chhattisgarh’s Surajpur


This follows another tyre burst accident earlier this month in Chhattisgarh's Surajpur district, where three people lost their lives, and two others were seriously injured. The incident occurred on 6 December near Chandrapur village on National Highway-43, when a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) overturned following a tyre burst, news agency PTI reported.  


According to the police, the victims were travelling to Ambikapur from Manendragarh after attending a wedding. The SUV, reportedly speeding, overturned after the tyre burst.  


The deceased were identified as Anand Chaudhary (28) of Jharsuguda in Odisha, Rita Chaudhary (46) of Ambikapur, and Pushpa Manjhi (40) of Korba. The injured, Ajay Nath Chaudhary (38) and his 10-year-old son Aniket, sustained serious injuries and were referred to a medical college hospital in Ambikapur after initial treatment in Surajpur.
