Kanpur is all set to host its first first international match in two years and the city is ready to give a grand reception to the Indian and Bangladesh players who will start reaching the Uttar Pradesh's industrial hub on Tuesday (September 24). With the players scheduled for a nine-day stay in the city, several delectable dishes are on the menu, keeping in mind the dietary preferences of the players while not compromising on the food for those wanting a dig deep into the local delicacies.
The details, as claimed in a report carried by TOI, suggests that Mutton Nihari, Khamiri Roti, Kakori Kebab and Mutton Galawati are some of the particular favourites from the local cuisine. Other than head chef Balram Singh, four chefs from different states of India, who have previously cooked for the Bangladesh team and are aware about their food choices, have been offered a special invitation to the city.

The report carried by the aforementioned publication also adds that the menu will feature Lamb chop (goat mutton), Norwegian Salmon and Snapper among other receipies. In addition, chef Balram confirmed that the hotel management has also made provisions for special soyabean milk and curd prepared from coconut milk and soyabean milk to maintain a healthy and nutritious dietary regimen.

The Indian players are all set to be greeted with Ram Dhun with a vermilion tilak on their foreheads. Meanwhile, Bangladesh players will be received with flower bouquets before they are allowed to rest and enjoy the hotel facilities.
