Hyderabad Fire: A massive fire broke out at a software company in Madhapur's Hitec City, Cyberabad, on Saturday morning. Thick black smoke was seen emanating from the buildings as the flames rapidly spread across the area. A video of the incident is now viral on social media.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and controlled the fire with the help of six fire engines. The fire broke out at the Sattva Knowledge City building engulfing the structure in flames.
The cause of the fire is unknown. However, a preliminary probe suggested a short circuit could have sparked the blaze. The local police are also on the spot to help with firefighting and rescue operations. So far, there is no news of any casualty.
The building had very few employees at the time the fire broke out. The workers inside the building fled in panic upon noticing the fire. The security team immediately alerted the fire department and the police.
The authorities are still assessing the total loss suffered in the fire. But the actual figure will be known only after the fire cools down completely.
Madhapur Fire Third Incident In Hyderabad In 24 Hours
The Madhapur incident comes within 24 hours of two massive blazes in Hyderabad — one in Secunderabad and the other in Rajendranagar. The fire in Secunderabad on Friday was reportedly sparked by an oil lamp left burning overnight at a paan shop near the Taj Tristar.
The Rajendranagar fire, which caused a loss of nearly Rs five lakh, broke out at the godown of an online garments store. The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit.
