Suvarna Sreepada, the husband of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officer Divya Jyoti, has accused his wife of corruption in a viral video that has ignited widespread attention on social media. Sreepada claimed that Divya Jyoti, who formerly worked as a Deputy Executive Engineer (DEE) with the Manikonda municipality before transferring to GHMC, has been accepting large sums of bribe money.


The video, which was released by Sreepada from Jagtial on Wednesday, contained footage of hidden cash reportedly found in their house. Sreepada, who is currently living apart from his wife after years of marital discord, says he left their home after constant fights over her alleged corrupt activities. He accused Divya Jyoti's brother, Sharat Kumar, of being the main influence behind her actions, claiming that Kumar coerces her into accepting bribes.


He also alleged that his brings money recieved through corruption home. He alleged that his wife has Rs 20-20 lakh of rupee notes at their residence. 


Sreepada further added that despite repeated attempts to dissuade his wife from engaging in unethical practices, she continued to take bribes. He has filed for divorce, stating that he does not want their son to be raised in an environment supported by ill-gotten money.


The couple has reportedly been embroiled in a bitter marital dispute for the past three years, but this latest expose has brought their private issues into public view, sparking intense discussions online about corruption and family conflicts.


It is also alleged that Divya Jyothi was transfered from Manikonda municipality to GHMC due to the alleged corruption activities. 


Earlier, a Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested Iddukki District Medical officer over charges of accepting bribe. On October 7, he was initially suspended since the accusations against him were of a serious nature. However, later Kerala Administrative Tribunal stayed the suspension order.
