A BMW rammed into a divided after hitting another vehicle near the Delhi Gate area in the national capital on Thursday.

 

Delhi Police said that the high-speed two-seater BMW hit the divider after hitting a Tata Punch car, with the car's bumper and bonnet crushed by the impact. The police are investigating the incident to determine the cause, including potential speeding or reckless driving.

 

The car was reportedly dragged for nearly 100 meters from the point of collision with Tata Punch car. The driver is said to have sustained a minor injury, while a Class 6 boy was also injured in the accident after his head hit the dashboard. A case of rash and negligent driving is being registered at IP Estate Police Station.

 

The car was driven by a 20-year-old man Sukhwinder Singh, while the vehicle was registered in the name of one Mintu Singh, a resident of Laxmi Nagar area. The incident took place near the iconic 'Delhi Gate' on the road leading toward ITO, ahead of the Arun Jaitely Cricket stadium.
