A group of men entered a liquor shop at Raj Nagar District Centre (RDC) in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, then damaged the property and assaulted the salesmen when asked for payment. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced on social media. The incident took place at an India-made foreign liquor (IMFL) shop located in the RDC, a prominent commercial area, around 9:40 pm.
CCTV footage from the shop reveals several men throwing bottles at the salesmen from outside and then entering the shop to continue the assault. “We are analysing the CCTV footage and have registered an FIR. The FIR is against 30-35 unidentified men. Legal action will be initiated soon,” said Abhishek Srivastava, assistant commissioner of police, Kavi Nagar, quoted by Hindustan Times.

According to HT, Rahul Chaudhary, the shop in charge, stated in the FIR, “The men beat up the salesmen when asked to pay for purchases. They also vandalised the shop. The entire incident was captured by CCTV cameras inside the shop. They also misbehaved when the police when they arrived. They also beat us up when we reached outside the Kavi Nagar police station to file a complaint and did not stop even after the policemen intervened."
Ghaziabad News: 30 To 35 Men Booked, Attacking Salesmen Outside Police Station
Around 30 to 35 unidentified men were booked by the police for storming into the liquor shop and assaulting the salesmen when asked to pay for their purchases. The gang reportedly attacked the salesmen again outside the Kavi Nagar police station as they tried to file a complaint on Wednesday night, police reported, as per HT.
The police registered an FIR under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including 119(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (intentional insult), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), 333 (trespass for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), and 324(4) (causing damages).
