Delhi News: Four men were arrested for impersonating police officers and robbing college students at gunpoint in Delhi's Subhash Nagar. The incident, which occurred on December 10, came to light after the victims reported the crime to the Hari Nagar police station.

The accused—Manpreet Singh, Junaid Wasid, Kuldeep Singh, and Sarabjeet—allegedly entered the students' rented flat, accusing them of illegal activities, including running an unauthorised call centre, Indian Express reported. Intimidated by the claims, the students allowed the men to search their flat. During the search, one of the impostors brandished a pistol and robbed them of approximately Rs 1.55 lakh before fleeing.

"A case of robbery was registered against four unknown individuals on December 11. Manpreet Singh, Junaid Wasid, and Kuldeep Singh were arrested first with the help of technical assistance. Sarabjeet was arrested from Tilak Nagar based on information provided by the other three," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vichitra Veer, as quoted by IE's report.

The police revealed that all four accused, residents of West Delhi, confessed to planning the robbery. They allegedly targeted the students based on information that the victims might be involved in illegal activities and would hesitate to report the incident.

A police official informed that Rs 1 lakh of the looted cash, a pistol, a live cartridge, and a car used in the crime have been recovered so far, as per the report.

Three Arrested For Killing 21-Year-Old In Delhi's Pushp Vihar

In a separate incident, Delhi Police have arrested three individuals for allegedly murdering a 21-year-old man in the Pushp Vihar area of South Delhi. The incident came to light on December 12, when a PCR call at 3.42 am reported the discovery of a lifeless body in a park located in the Jhuggi area of Sector-4, news agency PTI reported.

The deceased, identified as Monu Thapa, was a resident of the area. According to PTI, a senior police officer stated that Thapa's body had severe facial injuries, and a blood-stained stone, believed to be the murder weapon, was found nearby. An FIR was subsequently registered, and an investigation was launched.

The police reviewed CCTV footage and identified the suspects as Abhishek (19), his brother Babu (22), and Sourav (20). All three accused, who were unemployed, lived in areas near Pushp Vihar and Dakshinpuri. They initially fled their homes following the crime but were later apprehended.

Abhishek was arrested in Kalkaji, while Babu and Sourav were tracked down in Mohaba, Uttar Pradesh. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime, citing a past altercation as the motive.

According to the police, the conflict began in 2022, when Thapa had assaulted Babu. The trio claimed that Thapa had been threatening them and their families since the incident. Seeking revenge, they planned the attack and killed him using a stone, the officer said.
