Technical snag hits services on Delhi Metro's Pink Line

Train services were disrupted for almost an hour between Majlis Park and Mayapuri stations on the Delhi Metro's Pink Line due to a technical snag on Monday, the DMRC said.

The Pink Line connects Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar.

"Delay in services from Majlis Park to Mayapuri. Normal service on all other lines," the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a post on X in the evening.

A senior DMRC official said train services on the Pink Line were regulated on the section between Mukundpur and Mayapuri stations from 4:44 pm to 5:54 pm due to a metal sheet on the roof of a train infringing with the overhead equipment (OHE) at Shalimar Bagh down platform, leading to tripping of the OHE between Azadpur and Punjabi Bagh West section of Line 7.

Train movement was regulated on this section to undertake the necessary repair work while train operations on the remaining line from Mayapuri to Shiv Vihar were normal during this period, the official said.
