Yogi Adityanath News: Criminals in Uttar Pradesh will now have an even tougher time escaping the law. Acting further on his zero-tolerance policy towards crime, CM Yogi Adityanath has prepared a new plan to strengthen law and order further. A strategy is being formulated to set up checkpoints (naka) in every district.

The operation of these checkpoints will be different from the existing ones. It will be a three-tier checking system. This strategy would enable the borders to be sealed immediately in case of any incident. This will trap offenders within the district where the crime has been committed.

Officials said the plan has been prepared under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath to improve the law and order of the state. The DGP has instructed all district heads to plan ideal locations to set up the checkpoints and implement the three-tier checking system. All district police chiefs have been instructed to prepare and implement a checkpoint plan in their respective areas.

The localised strategies will also detail the equipment to be used at those as per the possibility of criminals using force against the cops. All entry and exit points of the district's police station areas will be identified and included in the plan.

Deserted stretches along the entry and exit points will be covered under the strategy. New routes in the district will also be included. Instructions have been issued to provide the necessary resources for checking at such identified places, including police barriers, night vision equipment, CCTV cameras, etc.
