A man was shot dead in broad daylight by unknown miscreants in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad on Tuesday morning. The victim was identified as Sababul Alam, vice-principal of Sri Sai School in Moradabad's Lakri Fazalpur area. He was on his way to the school when assailants shot at him.
The attack was captured on CCTV installed in a nearby shop. In the footage, the victim can be seen walking on the road, when two bike men on bike come beside him and shoot Sababul near the head at a point blank. The assailant then fled the crime scene on their two-wheeler.
As per police, the incident was reported at around 8 am on Tuesday. Locals rushed the victim to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
"This incident happened at 8 in the morning today. In the Majhola PS area, there is a school in a village. The Vice Principal of that school lives in the same village. When he was walking to the school in the morning, two people opened fire on him. He was declared brought dead in the hospital," said Ranvijay Singh Superintendent of police, Moradabad City.
He said that after getting information, police rushed to the spot and further investigation is on.
"Our 4 teams are investigating the case. We will soon unfold this case. The name of the deceased is Sababul Alam," he said.
