Amid the ongoing bomb scare targetting Indian airlines, IndiGo and Vistara on Tuesday received threat messages on Tuesday. A Vistara flight en route to Nepal's Kathmandu from New Delhi received a bomb warning on Tuesday. 


The IndiGo Airlines received 13 more hoax bomb threats this evening, airline sources told ANI. On Monday night, Indigo flights have received 10 such threats.


Confirming the bomb threat to Vistara flight to Nepal, Chief District Officer Jay Narayan Acharya said, "Nepal Army bomb disposal team has been sent to the airport for complete inspection."


An Akasa Air spokesperson said that the emergency response teams are monitoring the situation and are in touch with security and regulartory authorities. 


"Some of our flights operating on October 22, 2024 have received security alerts today. The Akasa Air Emergency Response teams are monitoring the situation and are in touch with the security and regulatory authorities. We are following all safety and security procedures in coordination with local authorities and the Akasa Air teams on ground are prepared to assist passengers to ensure their safety and comfort," the spokesperson said, according to ANI. 


The new threat comes even as around 50 flights have received bomb threats so far on Tuesday. Around 30 domestic and international flights operated by Indian airlines received bomb threats on Monday night. 


Airlines including IndiGo, Vistara, and Air India have been targeted in the latest series of bomb threats, causing chaos in the aviation sector over the past week. 


In a little over a week, more than 140 flights operated by Indian carriers have been subjected to bomb threats.
