Two masked teenagers walked into a bank in Bihar and looted Rs 1.5 lakh while locking the bank operator and customers inside. The entire act was caught on a CCTV camera.

The teenagers, with their faces hidden with a mask, entered a branch of Punjab National Bank or PNB in Vaishali district's Hajipur.

One of the robbers threatened the customer with his gun while the other collected the cash, amounting to a little more than Rs 1.5 lakh.

The video from the crime scene showed customers huddled together, some sitting on mini plastic chairs in the office as the man robbed the bank.

"Two criminals, aged 17 and 18, entered the bank with weapons. They decamped with Rs 1.5 lakh," Surabhi Suman, a senior police officer said, reported NDTV. "Photographs of criminals have been sent to all groups so that people can identify the culprit and inform the local police station," the police officer said.

After looting money from the bank, the accused fled from the spot, locking the bank operator and the customers inside, said the police.

Last year in July, four armed men barged into a bank in Bihar's Sheikhpura and robbed over Rs 28 lakh. The four men went into the Sri Krishna Chowk branch of Axis Bank in Sheikhpura town, about 50km north of the state capital Patna, according to the police.

As per the witnesses, the unidentified men first targeted the strong room and then moved to the cash counter. They robbed the bank customers as well before fleeing from the spot.

Gyan Choudhary, a bank customer, said the robbers held a firearm to his head and forced him to hand over ₹41,000 cash. Other customers were also robbed.

According to the police, the robbers were aware of the alarm system at the bank branch and disconnected it right at the beginning of the robbery.
