Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashya, two of the accused who killed former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique, took their "shooting classes" from YouTube, news agency ANI reported citing Mumbai Police. Police have arrested four people in the murder case, while three are still absconding.

The accused were given Baba Siddique's photo to identify him. The shooters had surveyed his residence and office 25 days before the incident. Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap learned shooting from YouTube and practised shooting without a magazine in Mumbai," the agency reported.

The attackers shot Siddique dead outside his son's office in Mumbai on Dussehra. The shooters took advantage of the confusion and noise during the procession. Police have earlier said the shooters had recced Baba Siddique's house about two months ago before killing him last week.

According to information obtained by the Crime Branch, the arrested accused revealed that Baba Siddique's son and Vandre East MLA Zeeshan Siddique was also a target in the attack. The accused disclosed that they had been contracted to eliminate both Baba Siddique and Zeeshan Siddique, as the latter was also on the radar of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

After the incident, the Bishnoi gang's Facebook post mentioned that they targeted him because of his close connection with actor Salman Khan, whom the Bishnoi gang has been targeting since he "hunted" two blackbucks during the shooting of the film 'Hum Sath Sath Hein'. Blackbucks are worshipped by the Bishnoi community. The post also threatened that anyone who helps Salman Khan or the Dawood gang should be prepared.

Police have arrested the fourth accused, 26-year-old Harish Kumar Balakram Nisad, in the case. Nisad allegedly provided financial and logistical support to the other accused in the case. Police have also claimed that Nisad's financial transactions are linked to the crime.
