Atul Subhash Suicide: AI engineer Atul Subhash's estranged wife Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha and brother Anurag have been arrested days after the techie died by suicide. Atul in a note accused Nikita and her family of harassment and extortion. The Singhanias were brought to Bengaluru and sent to 14 days judicial custody after being produced before a local court, police said.

The Bengaluru Police arrested Nikita from Gurugram in Haryana, while her mother and brother were nabbed from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

Nikita and her parents had filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Allahabad High Court after they were ordered to appear before the Bengaluru Police within three days. A four-member team of Bengaluru Police visited Nikita's residence in Jaunpur on Friday and pasted the summon order.

"There are reasonable grounds to interrogate you to ascertain the facts and circumstances. You are directed to appear before the investigating officer at Bengaluru within 3 days," the notice read.

Atul Subhash Left Behind 24-Page Note

Atul Subhash in a 24-page note alleged that Nikita was asking him to pay Rs 2 to 4 lakh for maintenance and was using their four-year-old son to demand the money. The man also questioned the judicial system in India and tagged US President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk in a 90-minute video message.

Dinesh Mishra, the lawyer handling Atul Subhash's case, earlier revealed that Atul was deeply affected by not being able to meet his four-year-old child. Atul Subhash was also affected by how he was being treated by Nikita and her parents, the lawyer added.

Nikita had filed a case of assault and criminal intimidation against Atul Subhash in 2022 after things turned sour between the couple during COVID-19. Nikita in her complaint had alleged that after marriage, her husband and his parents were dissatisfied with what her family gave them during the wedding and demanded Rs 10 lakh more, PTI reported.
