Zerodha co-founder, Nithin Kamath, showed his fitness enthusiasm recently by engaging in an impromptu workout session in his office. The executive shared a post on his social media platform X and revealed his zeal for staying fit.
In the post, the executive participated in an event in his office, alongside his colleague, and did spontaneous push-ups. The event was a collaboration between Zerodha’s venture capital fund, Rainmatter, and Sisters in Sweat, a wellness community for women.
Sharing the video in his post on X, Kamath said, “Impromptu AMRAP workout when Sisters in Sweat were at work.”
The approach to make work from office interesting garnered a positive response from social media users. One Netizen commented, “Nithin understands this very well, if he keeps his employee active and not boring. They will continue to work and deliver results. At workplace, make the work interesting.”
Others also appreciated Sisters in Sweat for coming up with the idea in the first place. One of the users said, “I don’t know how but glad this showed up in my TL. Pretty neat idea that should spread globally. Will help w/ #obesity epidemic.”
Others also questioned how Zerodha is helping support the health conditions of its team with the use of gadgets like fitness trackers, stress management tools, etc.
Notably, earlier this year, Kamath revealed that he experienced a mild stroke. The executive said this was caused by multiple factors such as a lack of sleep, dehydration, his father’s death, exessive workouts, and exhaustion.
Further, in 2022, he also launched a program for Zerodha employees wherein they stood eligible to earn a bonus worth a month’s salary if they managed to meet their health and fitness targets on at least 90 per cent of the days in the year.
