Actor-turned-parliamentarian Hema Malini, who represents the Mathura constituency in Uttar Pradesh, said the district has received investments proposals worth Rs17,507 crore during the one-day roadshow held in the city on Wednesday ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023.
She noted that the state is emerging as the first choice for investors owing to the facilities available. The actress cited good law and order in the state, conducive infrastructure and various other factors for such a huge response to the proposals.
"Proposal for such a high amount in one district shows the state will get bumper investment in state investors summit slated for February 2023 in Lucknow," Hema Malini added.

She added that investors will be provided with all facilities for setting up industries. “We have assured (the investors) that they will be provided with all facilities to set up industries here. Earlier there was a law and order problem but now it is not there and good development works will happen here,” the MP further added, according to the news agency ANI.
The proposals came during the Investors Summit organised in Mathura. “Around 140 MoUs were signed & the district received investment proposals worth around Rs 18,000 crore. It will generate employment for 50,000 people. MoUs have been signed in sectors like hospitality and health,” said Mathura district magistrate Pulkit Khare.
The agreements were signed in a single-day event organised at the Deen Dayal Veterinary University. The proposals have come as a bonanza for unemployed youth as they would create around 40,000 jobs, the DM noted.
Most of the proposals are related to tourism, health, MSME, and education sectors, said an official.
The event saw the presence of former minister Srikant Sharma, former minister Ravi kant Garg, legislators Puran Prakash, Megh Shyam Singh and Rajesh Chaudhary, and Mayor Mukesh Arya Bandhu.
