New Delhi: Rejected and mocked for his business idea on the television show, Shark Tank India, Sippline founder Rohit Warrier got the opportunity to showcase his product in a Hotel Show in Dubai recently.

The Hotel Show is one of the largest trade events in the hotel and hospitality industry to take place in the Middle East.

Sharing about the event on his LinkedIn post, Warrier wrote, “Wow, whose idea is this, smart, useful, additional layer of safety- nice, INTERESTING, superb, revolution, this is very intelligent, give me more samples else my daughter's would fight, thoughtful:- are some of the adjectives I can quickly recall, used by the visitors to our stall at The Hotel Show Dubai.”

Warrier had also tweeted, without taking Ashner Grover’s name that he has “no short of gratitude to Shark Tank India.”

“Q- How was day 2 The Hotel Show Dubai | 24 - 26 May 2022

A- It was insanely awesome! Glad that Sippline Drinking Shields - #glasskamask could make it! No short of gratitude to Shark Tank India ever!” he tweeted while sharing an image from the Dubai event.

Warrier’s business pitch on Shark Tank India was about a removable ‘glass shield’ which could be mounted on to the rim of a glass in order to maintain hygiene.

Not convinced by the pitch, Ashneer Grover heavily mocked the business idea and the product. He had said that the product was the first and last of its kind, adding that no one will ever try to create such a product. Grover did not stop here and had further said that the product was just ridiculous and that he would never wish to see such a product again.

Later, in an interview, Grover said that he regretted not investing in that idea.
