Stock Market Holidays: With 2024 about to end, investors are now getting ready for trading in the New Year. However, in order to better schedule your trades, it is important to keep a track of the stock market holidays lined up for all of 2025. The holiday calendar is published by the stock exchanges every year and can be seen on their website.

On the BSE website, a user can access this calendar by clicking on the 'Trading Holidays' tab. This holiday list includes the general weekend leaves, along with festivals and national holidays. Further, any major events such as elections also impact the holidays scheduled for the year. Investors should keep a tab of this list to understand the schedule of the stock market and plan their trades accordingly.

Stock Market Holidays In 2025

In 2025, the stock market will observe 14 holidays for festivals and national occasions. This list doesn't include the weekend trading holidays observed by the markets every Saturday and Sunday. Investors will see the maximum number of trading holidays in the year in April and October with 3 festival holidays scheduled in both the months. Further, August will have 2 trading holidays, apart from the weekend leaves.

On the other hand, the month of January will have no trading holiday for investors. Typically, Republic Day which falls on January 26 is observed as a holiday in the markets, however, this year, the day is falling on a weekend. This means no festival or national holidays will be observed by the stock market in the month.
