Start-Up Expo-2017 creates platform for women entrepreneurs
New Delhi [India], Aug 25 (ANI): The International MSME and Start-Up Expo-2017 created an open platform to boost women entrepreneurs and business persons under SC/ST category to explore themselves in the field of trade across the country.
Minister of State, in the Prime Minister Office (PMO), Jitendra Singh and Minister of Industry, Govt. of UP, Satish Mahana inaugurated the fourth edition of 'India International MSME and Start-Up Expo-2017' (August 24-26) organised by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in association with Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The main focus of the expo was to provide youth and prospective entrepreneurs, a much needed unified global networking platform to exhibit their product and services.
"India has great entrepreneurial potential. Platforms like MSME provide the budding entrepreneurs a platform to promote their idea and shape their dreams into reality," said minister of industry, Satish Mahana.
The main focus of India's only International MSME expo was to provide youth and prospective entrepreneurs, a much needed unified global networking platform to exhibit their product and services.
MoS Jitendra Singh congratulated MSME development forum to create an excellent platform for MSME's and start-ups and said, "The vision should boost the start-up culture across India. The government has always been motivating MSME's in the country and would provide incentives to the indigenous start-ups."
"We are really proud that we were able to attune to the unique needs of the MSME and Start-Up community and also to provide solutions to them to combat the challenges and critical issues concerning operations," said chairman MSMEs Development Forum, Rajnish Goenka.
20 selected start-ups were shortlisted to showcase their ideas, products and services to the dignitaries and the participating delegates. The forum provided complimentary stalls to these 20 shortlisted start-ups worth Rs. one lakh each.
The forum further initiated free stalls at the expo for the SC/ST category to boost women entrepreneurs and SC/ST entrepreneurs along with creating more such opportunities in India. (ANI)
