Kritarth Mittal, the 25-year-old founder of the Soshals app, recently shared risks associated with an unhealthy lifestyle driven by hustle culture following a health scare that required hospitalisation. Mittal, an entrepreneur based in Mumbai, revealed that his demanding work schedule, which included all-nighters, insufficient sleep, and a poor diet, led to a sudden medical emergency.

Mittal recounted waking up one morning with a severe headache and persistent vomiting, which led him to seek hospital treatment. He admitted that while his erratic lifestyle had been a long-standing issue since his college days, this health crisis served as a stark wake-up call about the long-term effects of such habits. Mittal cautioned his social media followers, urging them to prioritise their health.

The young tech entrepreneur admitted that his routine of sleeping less than five hours and neglecting a proper diet was unsustainable, particularly as he gets older.

In his post, he shared a picture of himself on a hospital bed and wrote, “Hustle culture comes with a cost — some you incur right away and some over decades. Choice is yours, I'm just here to show you the ugly side of it so you don't get swayed easy. This is me after pulling all-nighters, sleeping for <5-6 hours, and no diet plan.”

His post received several reactions from internet users who shared their take on the situation. One user wrote, “Get well soon Kritarth! Lately I've learnt it too, as much as hustle is important- same goes for personal health and family time too :) I've strictly spared a few 2-3 hours dedicated to personal care and family time- these can't be traded off for anything.”

Mittal responded to the comment with, “I am planning to do the same now. I started hitting the gym and religiously followed a routine for ~3 months but then went back to square one. Hoping to get back in shape and be a little more disciplined again.”
