Sirius Digitech Limited, a joint venture between the Adani Group and Sirius International Holding (a subsidiary of International Holding Company, IHC), has signed binding agreements to acquire Coredge.io Private Limited, a sovereign AI and cloud platform company.
Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Group, said, “As nations increasingly prioritise data security, it is more important than ever that organisations have the option to retain their data within national borders rather than relying solely on the public cloud. Sovereign Data Centers become extremely important for protecting sensitive information and maintaining national security, given the exponential growth in artificial intelligence-driven demand for computation and sovereign data stack.”
“An additional benefit of this acquisition is our ability to put AI capabilities directly in the hands of organisations that require specialised sovereign cloud services for AI training and inferencing,” he added.
Ajay Bhatia, CEO of Sirius International Holding, added: “Coredge’s has demonstrated a global presence with the ability to scale solutions through sovereign AI cloud services that are globally available but locally operable.”

Coredge is an innovative venture specialising in sovereign cloud technology, providing highly secure and scalable cloud solutions optimised for AI applications. Established in 2020 as a bootstrap company, Coredge has rapidly grown its client portfolio in key markets, including Japan, Singapore, and India. With a focus on the trillion-dollar global sovereign cloud market, Coredge aims to leverage its expertise in accelerating hyper-local cloud service providers while maintaining strict data sovereignty and compliance standards, according to the official statement.

According to the company, Coredge is focused on developing a comprehensive solution stack for sovereign data centres, encompassing bare metal servers, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS) based on open-source technologies. This initiative aims to enable Sirius Digitech to offer Machine Learning as a Service (MLaaS) as applications are developed on its infrastructure.
